Fresh Wharf, Barking is purely designed for the future providing a sustainable landscape that will keep growing. Folio London wanted to use the powers of marketing to showcase all of this to renters in London and beyond, in order to build this strong community.
Mohamed Khalifa and his newlywed wife were looking for a rental home in East London. They were already familiar with Folio London as a private landlord. “We had a friend renting with Folio at Royal Wharf and we actually stayed there for a few weeks minding their flat whist they were away. I was impressed with the property. The kitchen was lovely and the whole aesthetic of the apartment did not have that cheap feel that so many build-to-rent properties have”.
The Marketing Team at Folio worked hard on a new brand for Fresh Wharf, Barking. With the area being so many miles East of Central London, exposure was such an important factor in the Marketing Strategy. Whilst commuting on the A13 road, a large-scale banner advertisement on the side of the Development for “Folio at Fresh Wharf, Barking” caught Mohamed’s attention. “I’d been spending some time on Zoopla and came across some listings for Folio at Fresh Wharf Barking, which jogged my memory as I’d seen the banner whilst driving.
The virtual tours and floorplans gave us a great idea of the aesthetics at Fresh Wharf and I liked that this Development was unique to other rental sites in London. The on-site gym was a huge selling point for us as we love keeping fit without travelling too far. As I’m now working-from-home, the WFH facilities on-site are such a blessing. Before long, I was in touch with a Lettings Negotiator and we went from there.”
The interior spec of the homes at Fresh Wharf has taken inspiration from leading designers, implementing glass, stainless steel, amtico flooring and acrylics whilst using a minimalist colour scheme, resulting in a modern and sophisticated finish.
Mohamed loved what he saw and knew he wanted to settle at Fresh Wharf. “The spec of the kitchen impressed me most, but I liked that the balcony gave us more privacy than other balconies at previous properties I’ve lived at. I loved how spacious the apartment and balcony were”.
When asked for his opinion on the Lettings experience, Mohamed confidently answered “The screening process was surprisingly quick. It was a case of simply completing an online form with referee details and personal information. This was all approved within 36 hours and was a stress-free process. Now we’re settled in, I can’t wait for lockdown to end so I can show off my new place to family and friends!”
“I think the price is fairly good. To be honest, I feel as if Folio London’s monthly prices are competitive when compared to many other build-to-rent landlords. I do feel that I receive quality for what I’m paying. Particularly the lovely modern spec and interior finishes!”
